Day one and two for Dance Lightly

Friday, June 28th.....Harvey's LAST day of work was a tear jerker for him but he made it. Way to go Harv!!!!!
We finished stocking the boat Friday afternoon. Had drinks with everyone taking part in the Snake Island Regatta race on the dock that evening...all was well!!!!

Saturday, June 29th.....set sail...I mean turned on the engine...at 6:00 am. Weather was good, no wind though. Of course we met the ferry coming out of Departure Bay....probably just one of many obstacles we will have to avoid!!!

Anna texted and Allan and her left Nanaimo around 8:30 am this morning and were heading to Hornby.

No plans as to where we were going until we got to Neck Point...Hornby or maybe Rebecca Spit(14 hour trek)! Off we motored under great conditions traveling 6.5 to 7.5 knots, once 7.8/9!!!! Making great time and just enjoying the sail/motor so we made it to Rebecca Spit in 11.5 hours. Seals and Harbour Porpoise were the choice wildlife.
Rounded the spit and wow.....logs everywhere and I do mean everywhere!!! It was a mine field but good old retired Harvey navigated our way around and through them with the prop still intact.  Skye hurt her paw on her first landing so we will need to be careful with her for the next few days. Gorgeous evening but turned in around 9:30...three very tired puppies.

Sunday June 30th....left Rebecca Spit at 10:0, traveled up through Surge Narrows and into Okisollo Channel to Octopus Islands. Met up with Rick/Mary, Dan/Rita.
