Dance Lightly and Propinquity caught up with Silhouette around Strange Island.
Found out that Linda caught a Pink on Saturday but she tells the story that they decided it was not going to be fresh enough for her friends the next day...the real story is that while cleaning it the fish slipped out of Howard's hands and into the water...Linda had just finished saying that she really did not like Pink...my how we are all getting spoiled!!!!

Pictures from Tahsis to Friendly Cove...

The three boats first anchored in Friendly Cove to have a look around...
Friendly Cove is the bay off the traditional Mowachaht village site of Yuquot. There is a light station on San Rafael Island. Friendly Cove is where Captains Vancouver and Quadra met in 1792 and carried out the terms of the Nootka  convention of 1790, in which Spain relinquished to England all IRS claims to Northwest lands.
The spired Catholic Church....it has two stained glass windows that depict the transfer of authority over the area and were a gift from the government of Spain.

This is the back of the church...the pews are all facing toward the back...
The front of the church...

The Pacific Ocean...

Totem pole looking put toward the Pacific...
A wedding had just taken place the other day and all of the guests camped on the Island...
The three boats anchored out....

To be continued....
