The Excitement Continues

Excitement continues....

Friday, July 12th...leaving Sea Otter Cove...had a great sleep and were up and ready to leave for Winter Harbour around 8:00 am...Silhouette was leading the way out of the cove when they hit a shoal at low tide...
Attempted rescue...pictures tell a thousand words....everything works out well...

And more pulling....they were trying to heel the boat....no success in getting the boat off...

Dropped an anchor forward of the bow to stabilize her when they eventually would come off the mud....
Her she sat until 12:04pm...nearly four hours....
12:04 pm....she is upright!!!!!!!!!!!

The good news is that there was no damage done to the boat...Linda and Howard were very happy!!!!!!
During the process Propinquity needed to get to Winter Harbour to order a hose for her engine due to a small leak in the hose. The decision was made that Propinquity and Blue An Teak would go a head and Dance Lightly would stay with Silhouette....great group decision making....

Leaving Sea Otter Cove..

Propinquity and Blue An Teak had great sails ranging from 6 to 7 knots...sailing you only dream of...happy boats!!!
Silhouette and Dance Lightly left at 12:38 pm and had a great time motor sailing...

We have a magnificent coast line....incredible beaches, mountains and water for as far as the eye can see...

Silhouette in the distance ...

Came into Winter Harbour around 5:30pm...heard that Rick was able to order the much needed hose and Mary had arranged for someone to bring it up on Saturday....way to go Mary!!!!!

Entrance into Winter Harbour...
Blue An Teak, Silhouette and Dance Lightly stayed the night at North Harbour while Propinquity went into the dock at Winter Harbour. Hawk eye Harvey saw a wolf walking along the adjacent each from where we were anchored he was big. Skye and Murphy were not impressed!!!! Poor Linda did not have a restful sleep fridge kept cutting in and out and our appie queen kept thinking about her food....all is running well today though...

So, rescue at sea, great sailing and good news on the hose....just another day out on the West Coast....

There may have been whale sightings...but not confirmed..

Over and out from Circle the Rock group....
