Port McNeil...we made it

Finally arrived in Port McNeil July 7th in time for Howard's 59th birthday.....happy birthday Howard!!!!!

July 5th...still sitting in Forward Harbour....plan on leaving the next day if weather report holds...another 4:00 am wakeup.....Rick discovered that Harv is not very pretty that time of morning....

Finally heard from Allan and Anna ( Blue An Teak) ..they are making their way up the Johnstone Strait via the Strait...in these winds they are brave/hardy soles. Hope to meet up with them tomorrow.

Rick and Harv went fishing today and caught about 8 fish but thought they may be in a closed area so they had to release all of them....not sure Mary and I believe they caught any...

July 6th....4:00 am wakeup...left Forward Harbour along with 7 other boats at 5:00 am winds were good. Blue An Teak also heading out...hope to meet them in Lagoon Cove later this morning. 

From Forward Harbour we traveled up to Havannah Channel and then down. Chantham Channel and into Lagoon Cove where we met up with Blue An Teak. Winds on the Strait were good and we made good time. Stopped for gas and water then headed up Clio Channel to Potts Lagoon. Dropped the prawn trap before entering. 

Had potluck on Blue An Teak and settled into a quiet nights sleep.

July 7th....Port McNeil....

Left Potts Lagoon around 7:30 am and caught a mother load of prawns....Harvey was sooo very happy and surprised!!!!

Happy guy!!!! Prawns for appies....

Great conditions...while traveling through Baronet Passage we saw one bear on shore and one swimming to shore....

Too funny....

Met up with Howard/Linda, Peg/Jim in Port McNeil for scrumptious appies and fantastic birthday cake...thank you Peg!!!!!

July 8th....Port McNeil...

A day of laundry, boat cleaning, shopping and showering....

Mary left today to go back home with Sailor while Peter and Paul have now joined our fleet. For a while Rick had Peter, Paul and Mary....for a musician guy that was too cool!!! We will see Mary again though around the 17th.

So the boats and their crew are....

Propinquity....started with Mary, Rick and Sailor...Mary and Sailor went home to look after things.

So now the three musketeers are Rick, Peter and Paul

Tomorrow July 9th...we head out towards Bull Harbour. We hope to go around Cape Scott Thursday morning....winds look good right now. 

You may not hear from us for a few days so no worries we will be fine....
